How to Successfully Throw a Yacht Party

Parties are always fun, especially when they are held on a yacht. There’s just this incredible feeling that comes with being at sea with your closest friends while drinking the best champagne in town and dancing to your favourite music. But preparing for a yacht party is a whole different story. There are things that you should remember when it comes to chartering a private yacht in Singapore and using it for a party.

Determine Your Theme

Your yacht party should have a definite theme, as the planning will all be based on this specific theme. You are celebrating at sea, though, so the most sensible would be a beach- or sea-themed party. But it’s totally up to you, as this is your celebration that we are talking about. Whether you are celebrating your birthday, graduation, anniversary, or even wedding, make sure that you determine the theme weeks or even months before the event itself. This will make it easier for you to buy the stuff that you need for the party.

Plan the Route

You should not just go around driving around the sea, as it can be dangerous for some yachts to just traverse the ocean. Most chartered yachts have a designated driver, so ask them which route they plan on taking for the party. Let them know how long you are planning on staying at sea and where you want to go after. But if you plan to have a party on a parked yacht, then you will not have to worry about the route at all.

Pay Attention to the Menu

Food is one of the most important things when it comes to chartering a yacht and holding a party on it. You definitely have to get the menu right, as your guests will most likely be famished after a few hours of partying. They do not have anywhere else to buy food from, so make sure to serve them the best food that you can offer.

If you want to be sure, then ask your guests if they have food allergies. Avoid serving too much seafood. You should also serve non-alcoholic drinks just in case some of your friends are not into alcohol.

Create a Playlist

You can either hire a DJ for the party or create a playlist. Make sure to play the type of music that goes with your theme. For example, if you are planning on having an ’80s party, then play songs from ’80s artists such as Bon Jovi and Michael Jackson. The music will definitely set the mood, so do not forget to get your Spotify account ready and blast the music through those awesome speakers.

One thing that you should also remember is to ask about the capacity of the yacht. You’d never want to invite so many people only to find out that the yacht will not be able to accommodate everyone. Keep the guest list to a minimum and ask the company how many the yacht can carry just to be sure.
